The local civilisation has not yet discovered that by getting many brilliant specialised people together to run and maintain the global infrastructure is far more sustainable than giving the job to handful of self appointed paranoid Idiots.
They should fit in well in the Western Spiral Arm. Bring lots of Sun Screen, it may get hot ! Also the climate appears to be malfunctioning.
